Wear protective gloves when cleaning the carpet with toxic chemicals to protect your hands. Repeat to remove as much of the paint as possible. Mix a cup of lukewarm water with one teaspoon of dishwashing detergent just make sure the detergent is mild. Wet a cleaning cloth with a bit of paint cleaner and start blotting the area.

The last thing you want to do is force the paint into the fibers of the carpet. Yeah patience is the key of this process because you have to repeat this process multiple times until the paint is completely soaked. After spraying it or applying it to the stain you ll want to use a putty knife to lift up as much of the dried paint as you can. Blot the spot to remove as much wet paint as possible don t scrub or you ll push the paint further down into the carpeting.

Do this gently so you are not tearing the carpet fibers or pulling it out. The next step is to apply a small amount of the vinegar over the paint stain and then dip the toothbrush into the hot vinegar and start rubbing the carpet. Once you ve removed the dried paint then you need to focus on the fibers of the carpet as there is still going to be stuff there. If the paint does not come up easily wait another 5 minutes and try again.
